B2B marketing questionnaire

While many were enjoying the Christmas markets, we at Lead Magnet were preparing and launching our traditional marketing questionnaire , which will reveal new trends in marketing. For us, it is a milestone with which we will end the marketing year and open the new one . And it was the same this year. Last year.

At the turn of 2023 and 2024, we asked you to fill out a B2B marketing questionnaire . We were interested in which marketing channels you use in your company, which channel and what form of content generates the most leads, which social network brings you the most business opportunities, how to get instagram database fresh leads, and, among other things, what will be your biggest marketing challenge in 2024. In short, we were interested in what 2023 brought you, and what new trends in marketing you expect in 2024.

What are the new trends in marketing?

And how did it turn out? Let’s take a look at the most interesting points and, as a bonus, compare them with what it looked like at the turn of 2022 and 2023.

Which marketing channels do you use?

For this question, respondents could mark multiple answers, because it didn’t make sense to us to be able to choose just one channel from all of them (when they certainly use more than one). Websites also won by a wide margin , with 93% of respondents marking them . On the other hand, we wonder – what does the remaining 7% do? Does it seem like a grey eminence from the shadows?

After websites , content marketing leads with 87% , basic guide to computer security for wordpress closely followed by SEO (84%), email marketing (73%), social media advertising (67%), offline events (63%), paid search advertising (60%), and webinars (50%).

Websites also won in our last year’s survey, and content marketing defended its second place. Has there been any change at all? E-mailing is not dead, which is why it jumped a little higher from the previous 69% to 73%. This time, offline events also jumped into the top ranking – what knocked them out last year? Maybe Covid?

Which channel brought you the most leads in 2023?

Because we at Lead Magnet make no secret of the fact that we are a B2B agency focused on lead generation , we look forward to the results of this question like a child to a new round. In short, we enjoy it and are curious about where our colleagues like to hunt for new leads. So here it is.

Direct communication (again) earned the “gold” award . It business to consumer reviews was clicked on by 27% of respondents. Paid search advertising came in second place with 20%. We are happy that creation and publication on Linkedin (13%) achieved the imaginary bronze award, because Linkedin has long been our big crush. Events, SEO and advertising on social networks each earned 7%.

There were no big aha moments in the top rankings compared to last year. Direct communication is still leading and paid search advertising is still a strong second. But we added Linkedin and events and completely dropped e-mailing and content marketing . Hm hm, interesting.

What form of content generates the most leads for you?

And now for the golden maze question. In the article where we discussed the new trends in marketing , we already discussed how important quality content is for marketing. The main message was: Don’t create at all costs. Write/film/record when you have something to say. Of course, for content to work, it should be targeted, relevant, concise, adapted for sharing on social networks and consistent . Don’t take pictures of yourself with your morning coffee at all costs and better introduce the copywriter and social media creator thoroughly to what your customers are passionate about and what is trending in your field. Quality content is king.
